ITINERARY

CUSCO – HUMANTAY LAKE – QUISWARNIYOC PRIVATE CAMP
  • Pick up in Cusco.

    • Pick up at the hotels of the participants.
    • Departure from Cusco at approximately 5:15 am.
    • 2 hour drive to the town of Mollepata.

  • Breakfast in Mollepata

    • Delicious breakfast in Mollepata.
    • Payment of an entrance fee of 10 soles to the local municipality.
    • Continuation by car for another hour to Soraypampa.
    • Meeting with the muleteers and the horses that will carry our luggage, food and personal belongings of each hiker in canvas bags with a capacity of 7 kilos.

  • Begin to Humantay Lake.

    • Beginning of the 2 hour uphill walk towards Lake Humantay.
    • Arrival at Lake Humantay and free time to explore, take photos and listen to the guide's explanations about the importance of the lake.
    • 2-hour descent from the lake to the exclusive Quiswarniyoc camp.

  • Camping Quiswarniyoc.

    • Enjoy a scrumptious lunch at the campsite.
    • Take advantage of free time to explore the surroundings or hike to the Salkantay Mirador for panoramic views.
    • Relax in the Mountain Sky Huts or glass igloos at the campsite.
    • Engage in additional short hikes, visit breathtaking mountain viewpoints, and explore cascading waterfalls at the Quiswarniyoc campsite.

IMPORTAND INFORMATION:
  • Pick up at the hotels of the participants.
  • Departure from Cusco at approximately 5:15 am for a 2-hour drive to the town of Mollepata.
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast in Mollepata before continuing the journey.
  • Upon arrival in Soraypampa, meet with the muleteers and horses that will carry luggage and personal belongings.
  • Begin a 2-hour uphill hike towards Lake Humantay, where you’ll have free time to explore and listen to the guide’s explanations.
QUISWARNIYOC - SALKANTAY PASS (4630M) - CUSCO.
  • Morning Activities

    • Around 5:00 am, the cooks will wake you up with a cup of hot coca tea, giving you time to repack and prepare for a nutritious breakfast served at around 5:45 am.

  • Hike to the highest point

    • Afterward, it's time to begin the ascent to the highest point of the Salkantay trail, which stands at 4,630 meters. The uphill hike takes approximately 3 to 4 hours at a steady, slow pace.

  • photographic moment

    • Marvel at the breathtaking mountain vistas and capture photographs.
    • Learn about the revered mountain gods and participate in a traditional Andean ritual.

  • Hike downhill chaullay

    • Begin a 2-hour downhill hike.
    • Pause for a mouthwatering lunch.
    • Afterward, you'll begin the 2.5-hour downhill trek back to Soraypampa, where transportation will be waiting to take you to Mollepata for lunch.

  • return to Vusco

    • Following lunch, you'll continue with a two-hour drive back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 pm.

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

  2. Fill in “Book Online” FORM, select the date, and complete the booking information. Have one person fill it out for the entire group to ensure you’re booked together.
  3. Make a payment online using any debit or credit card, Our system will charge you 40% in advance of the total number of passengers.
  4. When you complete your payment, you will receive an email from our reservations staff, who will ask you for the following information for each passengers (by email and photo).
