ITINERARY

  • DAY 1
CUSCO – HUMANTAY LAKE – QUISWARNIYOC PRIVATE CAMP
  • Pick up in Cusco.

    • Pick up at the hotels of the participants.
    • Departure from Cusco at approximately 5:15 am.
    • 2 hour drive to the town of Mollepata.

  • Breakfast in Mollepata

    • Delicious breakfast in Mollepata.
    • Payment of an entrance fee of 10 soles to the local municipality.
    • Continuation by car for another hour to Soraypampa.
    • Meeting with the muleteers and the horses that will carry our luggage, food and personal belongings of each hiker in canvas bags with a capacity of 7 kilos.

  • Begin to Humantay Lake.

    • Beginning of the 2 hour uphill walk towards Lake Humantay.
    • Arrival at Lake Humantay and free time to explore, take photos and listen to the guide's explanations about the importance of the lake.
    • 2-hour descent from the lake to the exclusive Quiswarniyoc camp.

  • Camping Quiswarniyoc.

    • Enjoy a scrumptious lunch at the campsite.
    • Take advantage of free time to explore the surroundings or hike to the Salkantay Mirador for panoramic views.
    • Relax in the Mountain Sky Huts or glass igloos at the campsite.
    • Engage in additional short hikes, visit breathtaking mountain viewpoints, and explore cascading waterfalls at the Quiswarniyoc campsite.

  • Departure from Cusco at approximately 5:15 am for a 2-hour drive to the town of Mollepata.
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast in Mollepata before continuing the journey.
  • Upon arrival in Soraypampa, meet with the muleteers and horses that will carry luggage and personal belongings.
  • Begin a 2-hour uphill hike towards Lake Humantay, where you’ll have free time to explore and listen to the guide’s explanations.
  • DAY 2
QUISWARNIYOC - SALKANTAY PASS (4630M) - CUSCO.
  • Morning Activities

    • Around 5:00 am, the cooks will wake you up with a cup of hot coca tea, giving you time to repack and prepare for a nutritious breakfast served at around 5:45 am.

  • Hike to the highest point

    • Afterward, it's time to begin the ascent to the highest point of the Salkantay trail, which stands at 4,630 meters. The uphill hike takes approximately 3 to 4 hours at a steady, slow pace.

  • photographic moment

    • Marvel at the breathtaking mountain vistas and capture photographs.
    • Learn about the revered mountain gods and participate in a traditional Andean ritual.

  • Hike downhill chaullay

    • Begin a 2-hour downhill hike.
    • Pause for a mouthwatering lunch.
    • Afterward, you'll begin the 2.5-hour downhill trek back to Soraypampa, where transportation will be waiting to take you to Mollepata for lunch.

  • return to Vusco

    • Following lunch, you'll continue with a two-hour drive back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 pm.

  • This package includes round-trip transportation between Cusco and Soraypampa, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free journey to and from your destination. You’ll be picked up at a designated location in Cusco and transported to Soraypampa, then brought back to Cusco at the end of your adventure.
  • During the trip, you’ll be provided with a total of five meals, including two lunches, one dinner, and two breakfasts. All meals are prepared by experienced chefs, offering a taste of local cuisine and ensuring you stay fueled and energized throughout your adventure.
  • A professional tour guide will accompany your group, sharing their expert knowledge of the area and ensuring your safety during the excursion. They will also offer insights into local history, culture, and natural wonders, making the trip a truly enriching experience.
  • A comfortable sleeping bag will be provided for your use during the trip, ensuring you stay warm and cozy during the night. You won’t need to bring your own, which helps lighten your load while traveling.
  • The highlight of this package is the unique experience of spending one night in a Crystal Igloo. These transparent igloos offer stunning, unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape and sky, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the area. The Crystal Igloo also provides a comfortable and memorable overnight stay, making your trip even more special.
NOT INCLUDED
  • Firstly, the entrance fee to Humantay Lake, charged by the local government of Mollepata, is not included in the package cost. This fee is currently 20 soles per person and is paid on-site at the entrance to the lake. It is important to note that this fee is subject to change, and visitors are advised to check the latest fee before their trip.
  • Secondly, travel insurance is not included in this package. While all necessary precautions are taken to ensure the safety of travelers, accidents or unforeseen events can occur during travel. To protect oneself from such situations, it is recommended to purchase travel insurance before embarking on the trip.
  • Additionally, any extra expenses incurred during the trip, such as personal purchases, additional meals or drinks not included in the package, or optional activities, are not covered in the package cost. Travelers are responsible for any such expenses.

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

  1. First select the best package for you.
  2. Fill in “Book Online” FORM, select the date, and complete the booking information. Have one person fill it out for the entire group to ensure you’re booked together.
  3. Make a payment online using any debit or credit card, Our system will charge you 40% in advance of the total number of passengers.
  4. When you complete your payment, you will receive an email from our reservations staff, who will ask you for the following information for each passengers (by email and photo).

Optional: You can pay the full tour amount upfront to avoid any future payment concerns.

The remaining BALANCE is due 48 hours before the tour begins. You can pay in CASH (soles or dollars) or CREDIT CARD (+ 5 %) at the office in Cusco or in your hotel/hostal/apartament.

Important: Book the normal tour with a deposit and pay the remaining balance and any additional upgrades you choose upon arrival in Cusco.

STUDENT DISCOUNT

Student Discount: If your student card meets Peruvian government requirements, reserve the tour with a deposit and pay the remaining balance upon arrival in Cusco. The student discount will be applied at that time.
